The reasons for the present economic stagnation – which can be compared to the stagnation phase of the inter‐war period – are various. But there is one main common denominator: slow growth is the price to be paid today for the artificial stimulation of production through Keynesian demand‐oriented policies that came into fashion around the mid‐1960s.
