Summary. Studies in the attribution of Greek figured pottery follow a convention laid down by Beazley that attributions to ‘Groups’ are based on the style of drawing, while those on the potting are to ‘Classes'. Another distinct class of red‐figured lekythoi is here added to those identified by Beazley himself. The distinguishing features of the Class are described, and discussion follows of its origin and development, its chronology, and its relationship to various Painters and Groups initially recognised or later accepted by Beazley himself.
