This article examines the geography of manufacturing foreign direct investment (FDI) in France and the UK. In considering the regional distribution of both new and existing manufacturing FDI in the two states, the article seeks to show the extent to which the factors that influence the distribution of new FDI in France are similar to those in the UK.
