Jane Inglese has undertaken a survey into the perceptions that special educational needs teachers and class teachers receiving support have of the effectiveness of the help being given to children with special educational needs. Although it is a relatively small survey, it reveals that morale is high among the providers of support and that, generally, class teachers are highly appreciative of the service provided. It concludes that there is a recognisable area of special expertise which is valued by schools.
