Phil Bayliss presents a study of a middle school that underwent a radical change in the way it dealt with special educational needs. This involved the movement from discrete withdrawal by specialists to meeting special needs in the classroom. The changes brought about, broadly speaking, were seen as beneficial to both staff and students.
