Michael Connor reviews the effectiveness of various forms of intervention strategies for children experiencing literacy difficulties. He distinguishes between non‐differentiated pupil groups and teaching strategies advocated for dyslexic pupils. He concludes that in view of the heterogeneity of the presenting problems, as wide a range of approaches as possible should be deployed.
