James Knox is a head of year in a large school and shares with us some of his experiences in dealing with bullying. He outlines his philosophy, which is based on Rogerian theory, and offers two contrasting case studies. He concludes that such incidents cannot effectively be dealt with in a random fashion but only within a whole‐school strategy. His comments are helpful, given the high profile currently attached to the topic.
