Summary Recent developments in experimental designs for dealing with quantitative factors. This paper reviews some recent developments in experimental designs for dealing with quantitative factors. Successively discussed are:1) Rotatable designs (Box), 2) Evolutionary operation (Box), 3) Experiments with mixtures (Scheffe), 4) Experiments with 10 to 100 factors (Satterthwaite), 5) Random vector experiments, 6) The use of electronic computers in fitting non‐linear models, 7) Research Strategy (McArthur).
