STABELL, U. & STABELL, B. Chromatic rod vision. II. Wavelength of pre‐stimulation varied. Scand. J. Psychol. , 1971, 12, 282–288.–As compared with the additive opponent hues the scotopic contrast hues were found to be displaced toward shorter wavelengths in the 700–573 nm region, while they were displaced toward longer wavelengths in the 573–572 nm and 478–440 nm regions. The scotopic contrast hue matched the additive opponent hue at 573 nm and 440 nm. It is concluded that pre‐stimulation may create a disposition for a hue which matches a mixture between the additive opponent hue of pre‐stimulation and a hue of about 463 nm.
