S trømnes , F. J. The randomized blocks design. A procedure for checking the success of the forming of blocks. Scand. J. Psychol ., 1968, 9, 17–18.—A simple check for the success of any particular attempt at making a randomized blocks design is presented. It is proved that evaluation can be performed by comparing the mean square for blocks with the mean square for the residual. If the residual mean square is the greater one , the randomized groups design might be used in analysis.
