In stereoscopically induced perceptual conflict between different but not too disparate facial photographs, a fusion appears that is gradually experienced as more evaluated and less dynamic in a semantic system of coordinates. Individual differences in the process of conflict resolution are partly related to data from a test (the Serial Colour‐Word Test) that is intended to measure general ways of adaptation to a conflicting situation.
