In this feature we interview people involved in all aspects of managing innovation; entrepreneurs, industrialists and senior administrators responsible for state policy. This issue features Sir Geoffrey Holland, K.C.B., Permanent Secretary at the Employment Department in the UK. Sir Geoffrey is a senior official in the UK civil service, responsible for guiding and implementing the employment policy of the incumbent administration. We approached him for an interview after learning of his reputation as an innovative administrator. The interview was conducted by Susan Moger.
