The life cycle of a structure and the changes that occur during its service life are modeled in this investigation as a fuzzy process. The fuzzy processes are represented by a fuzzy bunch of functions dependent on a deterministic parameter. The numerical evaluation of these functions may then be performed using α‐level optimization. To analyze the uncertain changes in a structure during its life cycle the time axis is discretized. All uncertain input parameters are given as fuzzy processes or fuzzy values, and are thus known at each point in time. The uncertain result parameters are computed at each point in time with the aid of α‐level optimization under consideration of all relevant nonlinearities. Modeling of the time‐dependent changes in the structural parameters as a fuzzy process is demonstrated by way of examples .
