Research in mathematics recently carried out by B. Malgrange and J.P. Ramis led to new results concerning the classification of Ordinary Differential Equations (thebrpmes d'indice Gevrey' ). On one hand it has been at the basis of developments in formal calculus, worked out by a team of research workers at Grenoble, and enabling the calculation of the formal invariants of the diaerential equations studied. On the other hand, it allowed the working out of new numerical techniques for the resummation of divergent series, given the differential equation they satisfy (k-summability properties).
