Thanks to the generosity of the course sponsors (the Science and Enpeering Research Council in the UK, and the “Training in Informatics” Subcommittee (ITG) of the Scientific and Technical Research Committee (CREST) of the EEC) it was possible to bring together leading experts from US and Europe for this two-week intensive course which aimed to range from the fundamentals to the frontiers of 3D graphics.
