The shapes of many engineering objects contain free-form surfaces for functional or aesthetic reasons. Hence the representation of free-form surfaces is very important. Many solutions have been proposed; Coon’s patch,’ Bezier patch2 and Bspline patch3 have all been used in practical enpeering fields. However, even today, it is not easy to represent complicated free-form surfaces of practical objects.
