The Geography Algorithms Group (GAG) spatial algorithms library was developed jointly by the School of Computing Studies and Accountancy at the University of East Anglia and the Department of Geography at University College, London over a period of two and a half years. The project followed a feasibility and design study [ l ] and aimed to provide a range of facilities for users having locationally referenced data. That is to say either the data items are to be associated, as attributes, with points, lines and regions or that the points. lines and regions are themselves the items which require processing.
