The primary objective in setting up NCSDCT was to create a centre which would function as a change-agent in the areas of software engineering and software technology in India. Over the years NCSDCT has taken the initiative to work in a variety of areas of software technology. Graphics systems and graphic applications software are among the important areas of work at NCSDCT, the others being programming environments, operating systems, implementation languages, communications, DBMS and mathematical programming systems. This report mainly summarizes the current activities of NCSDCT in graphics and related areas.
