Trevor Watts, headteacher, Kinder School, Bassetlaw District General Hospital, Worksop ‐ formerly Kilton Hospital ‐ describes ways in which the staff use computers with profoundly and multiply handicapped children at his hospital school. Many of the children have the additional handicaps of being deaf, blind, cerebral palsied, or otherwise physically impaired. Most cannot walk and all are doubly incontinent and unable to speak.
