The article discusses MUVEnation, a European peer-to-peer educational program aimed at determining the effectiveness of multi-user virtual environments (MUVEs) in both teaching and learning. Over 100 participants from around the world have enrolled in the program. The first of two modules, aimed at providing an introduction to virtual worlds, began in November 2008. The second module is set to commence in January 2009. Priorities of that module include establishing teachers' needs, assembling and documenting good practices, and identifying problems that frequently arise in an MUVE.
