The main object of this article is to give the reader a preliminary overview of the educational strengths and weaknesses of computer assisted learning within the experience of the NDPCAL. UNCAL (UNderstanding Computer Assisted Learning) is a four year independent educational evaluation team, commissioned by the NDPCAL and located at the University of East Anglia.
