A method for testing pupillary autonomic function with the Canon CR3–45NM retinal camera is described. Results agreed well with those obtained using the Polaroid CU5 close‐up camera in 20 non‐diabetic subjects and 29 diabetic patients (intrapair correlation coefficient = 0.97).
