SUMMARY Orthotopic bladder substitution after cystectomy in women isfeasible. The rate of continence is comparable to that in men who havebeen similarly treated. Over continence (which is common) is causedby posterior and caudal displacement of the neobladder. Preventionof this descent can reduce the incidence of this complication. Further follow‐upis needed to evaluate the oncological outcome.
