Urological malignancies occur only rarely during pregnancy. However, when they do occur, the urologist must use judgement to deliver optimal care to the mother without unnecessary jeopardy to the fetus. Radiation exposure should be avoided if possible and therapy should be determined by the nature of the tumour and the stage of pregnancy.
