Exstrophy of the urinary bladder is an uncommoncongenital deformity occurring in every 30,000 to40,000 live births. A greater risk of developingcarcinoma has been well documented, especially inpatients surviving to adulthood. Since the first casewas reported by Bergenhem in 1895 (Goyann, 1951), about 80 cases have been added to theliterature (Witters and Da, 1987). We report a 52‐year‐old man with adenocarcinoma of the bladderand untreated exstrophy.
