We describe the case of a young woman who presented with recurrent episodes of acute urinary retention due to a large ovarian cyst. She was found to have detrusor instability and vesical diverticula. Following removal of the cyst, the urodynamic behaviour and radiological appearance of her bladder returned to normal.
