Summary— The symptomatic results of urethrolysis were assessed in 40 female patients with the urethral syndrome. A specific clinical group of patients was identified who obtained symptomatic relief following surgery and these were further analysed, using urodynamic studies, to assess how urethrolysis achieved this effect.
