SUMMARY— A new surgical technique for primary reconstruction of bladder exstrophy is described. Human cranial dura mater is used as an alloplastic free graft to replace the missing anterior bladder wall. The technique has been successfully applied to 8 patients and the early achievement of good bladder capacity seems to improve urinary continence.
