Summary— A method of inducing tumour growth in rat and rabbit bladders is described. Tumour induction is dependent on a pre‐induced cystitis. In rats, tumour also grows in the kidneys because of species characteristic vesicoureteric reflux. The possible significance is discussed in relation to the management of human bladder tumours.
