The term “urethral syndrome” is used to describe, in the female, a syndrome of recurrent episodes of increased frequency of voiding and dysuria, without evidence of infection in the urine. This paper presents the results of 2 linked studies on the value of diathermy to the trigone and upper urethra in this syndrome.
