Vasoplasty methods are tedious, time consuming and generally associated with a high rate of failure. In countries where vasectomy is widely used as a method of sterilisation it is inevitable that some of these cases will require surgical reversal. Some centres are now using the operating microscope for this operation; the technique to be described is simple and does not call for complicated and costly equipment.
