Summary 27 one‐stage island patch urethroplasties have been performed with the longest follow‐up of 3 years. The method seems to have most of the advantages of standard 2‐stage scrotal flap urethroplasty, and is suited to all but the most difficult and complicated strictures at any site in the urethra.
