Summary Seven patients with enuresis and diurnal urgency frequency and sometimes incontinence were treated by transection of the bladder. Two of the patients were completely cured of their symptoms. All showed some degree of subjective improvement. Cystometry showed that the operation did not prevent contraction of the detrusor, suggesting that denervation has not been a significant factor.
