SUMMARY A rare case of congenital malformation of the testis is presented. A 13‐year‐old boy was operated upon for ectopic testis. At operation there was no connection between the testis, which was found at the internal ring of the inguinal canal, and the epididymis and spermatic duct, which were located in the scrotum. Orchidopexy was performed together with excision of the epididymis. The literature on the subject has been reviewed.
