SUMMARY Fifty‐four patients were treated for genito‐urinary tuberculosis in Bradford within the past 5 years. The Asian immigrant population of the area (approximately 9 per cent) accounted for 7 cases (13 per cent). Of those exhibiting active genito‐urinary tuberculosis, only 4 were Asians (9.3 per cent). This proportion is well below that of Asian immigrants contributing to the total number of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis (61 per cent) or other forms of non‐pulmonary tuberculosis (78 per cent). Chemotherapy alone was the therapy employed in 21 of these cases. In 19 cases, antituberculous drugs were combined with ablative surgery. In 7, drug therapy was combined with reconstructive surgery. In only one case did the early morning specimen of urine remain positive after treatment.
