SUMMARY Five patients with stricutre of the rectum and small bowel changes following radiation treatment for advanced ovarian carcinoma are reported. The approach to the problem of associated ureteric involvement and its management is described and the results of treatment are discussed. A transverse colostomy combined with the construction of a colonic conduit from the lumbar ureters to the bladder is presented as a possible solution.
