SUMMARY Two further cases of phæochromocytoma of the bladder are described. The first patient complained of headache and flushing after micturition but no hypertension or abnormal excretion of catecholamines was noted. However, the histology, including the chromaffin reaction confirmed the diagnosis. In Case 2 a presumptive diagnosis was made retrospectively on reviewing the histology though a positive chromaffin reaction could not be obtained. No sympathetic symptoms had been noted and her hypertension persisted after removal of the tumour. The importance of suspecting the diagnosis pre‐operatively is stressed in the interests of anticipating operative complications and of confirming the pathology.
