SUMMARY A maie infant receiving long‐term antibacterial treatment for chronic bacterial urinary infection developed a Candida claussenii urinary infection. The literature relating to Candida infections of the urinary tract is reviewed. Yeasts were rarely isolated from the urine of children attending a clinic for urinary tract infection even though many were receiving long term chemotherapy for recurrent infection.
