SUMMARY The clinical features of chyluria have been described and the ztiology, pathology and treatment reviewed and illustrated by case reports. The commonest ætiological agent remains filariasis. Chylous reflux due to incompetent megalymphatics and primary lymphatic disease is an established but rare cause. The importance of full investigation is stressed, especially that of pedal lymphangiography. By combination with pyelography, the site of the fistula may be demonstrated. Direct surgical approach to the communicating lymphatics is effective, and is now the treatment of choice.
