SUMMARY 1. In the “true adult” age group (over the age of 21) most cases of enuresis were associated with bladder neck hypertrophy; the enuresis and the associated day–time symptoms can be relieved by bladder neck resection. 2. Some of these patients had had psychological investigation and treatment without any indication of a psychological cause of the condition. 3. In the 15 to 21 age group there was a marked tendency to spontaneous improvement, so operation is contra–indicated at this age.
