SUMMARY Sudden increases of pressure within the renal pelvis may result in extravasation of urine into the surrounding adipose tissue. A case is presented showing widespread adipose tissue inflammation in response to the “urinary precipitates” formed. Further study of the phenomenon may increase understanding of adipose tissue inflammation and repair, but is particularly important in view of possibly harmful sequels.
