SUMMARY A case of a very large traumatic haematoma of the kidney is described together with its sequelae, treatment, and after–care. It cannot be too strongly stressed that a careful follow–up should be continued indefinitely in any case of renal injury; and should include serial renal studies by conventional X–rays, by intravenous pyelography and if necessary by retrograde pyelograms.
