SUMMARY1 Blood loss during and after prostatectomy by both retropubic and transurethral techniques under different anæsthetic procedures has been analysed. 2 No post‐operative cerebral complications attributable to the anæsthetic technique have been found. 3 The need for blood transfusion during and after prostatic surgery has been discussed.
