SUMMARY The case histories of twenty‐one patients who have had bladder tumours and also, at some time, renal and/or ureteric tumours are presented. Seven cases had renal, ureteric, and bladder tumours, five had kidney and bladder tumours, and nine had ureteric and bladder growths. The cases are discussed in relation to the time at which the various tumours in the different sites developed. Tumours of the upper tract co‐existed with vesical neoplasms, certainly in nine cases and probably in three cases, and occurred in relation to upper tract growths subjected to surgery in five cases. In four cases the vesical neoplasms antedated higher growths by a significant time interval and these cases are considered of special interest. The sequelæ of nephrectomy and nephrectomy plus subtotal ureterectomy for transitional cell growths of the upper tract are discussed. A plea is made for immediate naked‐eye examination of the cut kidney in the theatre before wound closure in those cases where the diagnosis is in doubt, so that ureterectomy may be carried out if indicated. The importance of removing the ureter in toto is emphasised. The radiological and pathological findings are discussed. I wish to thank Mr R. H. O. B. Robinson, Mr T. W. Mimpriss, and Mr K. E. D. Shuttleworth for permission to publish their cases and for their interest and helpful advice, and Mr D. O. Davies for lending me the composite pathological specimen of Case 20.
