SUMMARY The differential diagnosis of a filling defect in the ureter should include the possibility of a ureteral polyp. This lesion can be managed conservatively with excellent results in selected cases. Because recurrence of ureteral polyps has not been reported, it would seem that conservative surgery is warranted. An illustrative case report is presented. The characteristics of the lesion and methods of management are outlined.
