SUMMARY In a female pseudohermaphrodite left‐sided renal colic was caused by endometriosis of the left ovary, i.e. by a chocolate cyst compressing the ureter. Co‐existing endometriosis of the uterine muscle was the cause of cyclic pains in the lower abdomen and the sacral region. After hysterectomy and left adnexectomy all the pains disappeared. For the hormonal investigations we are indebted to the Institute of Pathophysiology, and for the microscopical findings to the Institute of Pathology, both of the Silesian Medical Academy at Zabrze.
