SUMMARY The pathology and symptomatology of the obstructed bladder neck in children have been discussed briefly, and a diagnostic method has been suggested. The treatment of the condition has been mentioned and the early results of bladder‐neck plasty discussed in twenty‐one cases operated on during the last three years at the Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children, Sydney. The writer would like to thank the surgeons and physicians who referred these patients to his care.
