ACUTE INFECTIONS OF THE PROSTATE GLAND

SUMMARY Seventy‐eight cases of acute prostatitis and twenty‐three cases of prostatic abscess are described. Ætiology, clinical course, different methods of treatment and results are discussed. Acute infection of the prostate should be considered and treated as a serious illness in order to avoid recurrent attacks and chronic ill health.
