SUMMARY Up to now we have performed three transperitoneal urcterolithotomies as recommended by Kneise (1935). The technique described by this writer was modified inasmuch as we combined the transperitoneal approach with retroperitoneal drainage, thus avoiding the danger of the urinary extravasation and infection.
