SUMMARY Phæochromocytoma of the bladder is a very rare tumour which is of considerable clinical importance as it may be an unsuspected cause of hypertension or the “adrenal sympathetic” syndrome. Because of the frequency of hsematuria as a symptom, the tumour may mimic one of the commoner forms of bladder neoplasm. Manipulation or operative removal is not without risk to the patient as there is the possibility of severe hypotension occurring when the tumour is handled.
